The simplicity of this design lends itself to be easily manipulated to create an altogether different scene allowing you endless design possibilities. Alternatively the design could be used as the centre of a larger medallion quilt by adding additional borders. The appliqué is fused and secured using a machine blanket stitch. All of the stitching detail was achieved using a machine embroidery stitch. Alternatively you could achieve a similar result using a free motion stitch tracing over the line several times.
