I also had a disappointing exchange as my swap partner never answered my e-mails and I also send her a gift that I work hard on and made with love. I hope that she is well also. Margaret Andrews

I met a wonderful person from Christchurch NZ. Her name is Trisha and she always sends me long and newsy emails. I enjoy corresponding with her and loved the wallhanging she sent me. I do believe we will remain "pen pals".

Thank you, Jessica

Well, I'm a long time coming in getting a message in here, but I have to say, this has been one of the greatest experiences for me, meeting Dawn Collins in Australia! We have had the best time exchanging fabrics, she sent me some beautiful pieces that are patterns from Australia plus pictures of our families which was a real joy to have faces to the names and get to see my new friend. She gave me a wonderful surprise by calling me at work just before Christmas. I was amazed and thrilled to hear from her. I also just received a beautiful quilt with flora and fauna of her country which I just adore! I almost cried, as I have given quilts to friends and family for many years, but this was the first time anyone had ever made a quilt just for me.

We keep in touch and continue to share, I am just about ready to send another package off to her with goodies I hope she will enjoy. I feel I have made a friend for life and wish I could meet her, but you never know, maybe someday!!! Thankyou for this wonderful experience, it has been so rewarding.

I was a little let down at first because my swap partner didn't correspond so I thought she was not interested. I requested a second swap partner, who I might add is the cutest, sweetest and darilng person I have had the pleasure to met. She is from NZ and doesn't mind the great difference in our ages. I am having the very best time emailing, writing, and doing our swaps. Thank you for my life time new friend.

Thank you Fiona Marie for introducing the great Christmas swap. It has been such fun to receive a swap gift from my partner Karen in Tucson USA and to exchange emails. I was sent a lovely parcel of coasters - very different from anything I have seen before. I hope too, to keep in touch with Karen in the future. What a lot of interesting mail you have received in this file.

I am in Alabama in the United States and my swap pal is in Australia. What a wonderful idea this was as I know we will stay in touch even though the swap is over. I got a beautiful beaded tote bag and a Lavender pillow. We have enjoyed e-mailing each other as much, or more, than swapping presents.

Thank you for this idea and for your time and trouble,
Sandy R

I received a lovely wall hanging from Nancy in NZ. It is just beautiful; she used fabric with lots of scenes and flora & fauna of NZ. This inpsired me to get out my atlas and read about New Zealand. I have learned so much, and hope we can continue to email each other in the future. It will be such fun sharing ideas - and maybe even fabrics. This was such a neat idea.

Thank you so much, Fiona, for hosting this Christmas swap. It's been great fun getting to know my e-pal from New Zealand. It is not snowing here in MD, but it is raining and somewhat cold. It is really nice getting to know people from all over the world. Thanks again.

My best friend and quilting buddie in Beulah, Colorado, suggested we get involved with this swap and I am so happy that we did. I know that both of us have made friends that will remain so for the rest of our lives. I hope to be included in this again next year! Thanks Fiona Marie what a fabulous idea!

I was very disappointed that I never received a response from my Swap partner. I had been looking forward to corresponding with my partner but it wasn't to be I guess. Maybe next year...

I'm from the southwestern USA and we don't have any snow for the holidays. My partner, Jo and I have e-mailed each other several times, and decided early on to make lap size quilts. I received mine and am totally in love with it. Jo is in NZ, and she used fabrics showing the animals and plants from that part of the world. I have sent her mine and hope she receives it in time for Christmas. Jo is living the life I would have liked [although family and stock animals are really more work than my lazy bones would enjoy]. Jo, if you read this, have a great Christmas, and I am enjoying the quilt so much.

Today the snow is falling and it is a really beautiful sight. We have all been housebound now about 60 hours and getting little crazy. I know you all are having summer and that is just not right! I have really appreciate getting the opportunity to met Vanessa. We both have hectic lifes yet love our craft. Vanessa web site is awesome. Please continue this tradition and lets us see how we can make it grow.
Merry Christmas Fiona!
