Lynette Anderson Designs
I have added eight new patterns from The Lynette Anderson range this month. Included are a table runner, two cushions, four bags, and a needle case. All the designs incorporate Lynette's unique stitchery style into a patchwork quilting setting. I also have available the gorgeous hand painted cat and dog buttons (Felix and Hugo) that feature in a few of the designs.

Three new patterns have been added to Janelle's pattern range. Adelaide's Notemaker, Suzie's Sweet Shoppe and For the Girls. The patterns include designs to create a glasses case, notebook cover, bed quilt with matching pillows and two fun little bags. Janelle's fabric choices give her designs a wonderfully vibrant and crisp look and offer great inspiration for gift making.

The next Designer Profile to be sent on the 16th July features the talented New Zealand designer Desiree Simpson. Desiree has designed a few flower appliques for you to stitch and we will also be giving away a couple of patterns in a prize draw.
Next month we will be adding more Moonshine Design patterns, another block of the month pattern set from The Birdhouse, a few of Lynette Andersons older but perennially popular quilt patterns, and a new designer will be joining the pattern pages.

Last Word
I have to say I do love Winter. Yes ... it's cold ... but I love sitting in front of the fire at night working away at my hand stitching before jumping between warmed cotton sheets with a good novel and the sound of rain bouncing off the roof outside.
Here is a few of my other favourite things.
Favourite stitching music: Melody Gardot's new CD 'My one and only thrill'
Jazz music sung with the tones of an angel and her version of 'Over the rainbow' is not to be missed.
Got to see Movie: Juno
This movie is quirky, original, entertaining, and has a fantastic soundtrack. It's a must watch for parents of teenage girls.
Best book ever: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
You can read this book in an afternoon but it will keep you thinking for a week. I read it once a year and it is the only fiction book I have ever felt the need to highlight passages of text for future reflection.
Current Fabric Fad: Japanese woven and Kaffe Fassett fabrics
I am going a little crazy at the moment buying up fat quarters of the wonderfully textured woven Japanese fabrics in indigo blue and taupe tones. I have also decided to make my nephew a quilt for his 21st birthday in October and I'm current collecting up Kaffe Fassett fabrics for this project.
Have a fantastic month and make every stitch count!
Fiona Marie Clark
