Hello,

This month I have added three new block of the month pattern sets to the store from Rosalie Quinlan Designs, In Stitches and Cinderberry Stitches. Have a peek at the pictures below and use the links to find out more information about these delightful quilts and the block of the month programmes offered. I also had a backlog of new release patterns from some of my most popular designers that have now been introduced to their pattern pages.

In recent weeks I have been working steadily both on the website and on my various stitching projects. If you would like to see what I have been working on visit my blog where I post updates and photos of progress on my most recent work. Here's a little sample of what I have been stitching ...

Designer News

Rosalie Quinlan

I have decided Rosalie is one of my favourite designers. I didn't realize this fact until I had a look around at the projects I have stitched recently and it dawned on me Rosalie's designs are very well represented. I was lucky enough to meet her in Melbourne last month when I popped in to say 'Hello' to her distributors, Nel and Jacques Dekker of Creative Abundance, who just happen to also be Rosalie's Mum and Dad. She was lovely! To find out more about my visit and to see a photo have a scroll down my blog entries.

This month I have added four new patterns to her pages along with the block of the month quilt featured above.

In Stitches

Six new release patterns designed by Natalie Ross of In Stitches fame have been added to her pattern page this month. Natalie's designs are fun, modern and colourful. Her quilt patterns are very original and sure to draw the eye of youngsters. She also has a couple of new bag patterns (making bags is my latest thing!). If you have a young girl in the house be sure to cast your eye over The Little School House pattern that features the coolest looking backpack and lunch bag I've ever seen.

Other New Patterns

Coming Soon!

Teddleywinks new BOM quilt Greenfarm Village, new release patterns from Don't Look Now and we have a new designer Cori Blunt of Chitter Chatter Designs who is featured in the latest Homespun magazine (No.81 Vol.11 No.2). Last Word

Visit Bronwyn Hayes's blog to view her brand new block of the month quilt. She is still in the process of writing up the patterns but I'm sure they will be ready for sale in the next few months.

Leanne Beasley will soon be posting tutorials for the Down in the Garden quilt on her blog.

Leanne Beasley and Rosalie Quinlan will be running a 'Mid-Winter Christmas' workshop in Christchurch, New Zealand at the end of June this year. Contact Lesley Capon (forgetmeknotsnz@hotmail.com) from Forget-Me-Knots quilt store for more information.

Not long now until the mini quilt symposium 'Mountains to the Sea' being held in Timaru from the 8th - 12th April 2010. There are still vacancies in some classes. To find out more visit the website.

Talking of New Zealand quilt symposiums - have you registered for The Remarkable Symposium 2011 in Queenstown? Visit the website to find out more. If you would really like to attend this symposium but don't like the idea of being by yourself send me an email and I can look at the possibility of putting together a little group of stitchers who are attending alone but would like to stay in the same place, share meals, and do a little optional sightseeing together. I will follow up this idea if there is any interest.

Have a fantastic month and make every stitch count!

Fiona Marie Clark
